Day 1

Event Report: Welcoming of Students and Inaugural Function at Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital.

On 20th February 2023, Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital welcomed its new batch of students with a Saraswati Poojan and Chandan Tilak ceremony. The event was graced by the presence of Chairman Er. Mahesh Agarwal, Samarth Sir, Principal Sir, and all staff members. The ceremony was performed to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati for the success of the students in their academic pursuits.

Following the pooja, the inaugural function began with the Dhanwantari Poojan and a prayer. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp. Chairman Er. Mahesh Agarwal then delivered the welcome address, in which he welcomed the new batch of students and their parents to the institution. He also highlighted the vision and mission of the institution and the opportunities it offers to the students.

Next, Principal Sir gave a brief institution profile, highlighting its history, achievements, and academic programs. He also emphasized the importance of academic excellence and the overall development of the students.

After a tea break, the interaction with parents and students began. All the staff members were present to interact with the parents and students and answer their queries. The interaction session helped the parents and students to get familiar with the institution’s staff and facilities.

Dr Sujay P. Randive, a faculty member, then gave a brief overview of the BAMS curriculum. He explained the course structure and the opportunities it offers for the students. This session helped the students understand the course’s expectations and requirements.

The next session was conducted by Dr Shailendra Shukla and Shri Arun Gakhar Ji, who explained the rules and regulations of the campus and the code of conduct that the students are expected to follow. They emphasized the importance of discipline and the need for the students to maintain decorum on campus.

As part of the Transitional Curriculum Activity [NCISM], a pretest was conducted for the students to assess their understanding of the subject. This activity was aimed at preparing the students for the upcoming academic year and helping them to adjust to the academic requirements of the institution.

The event concluded with a sumptuous lunch, during which the students and staff members had an opportunity to interact and get to know each other better. The event was a grand success and left a lasting impression on the students and their parents.

On Day 2 of the Student transitional event at Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital BAMS, the program started with a session on Personality Development & Capacity Building by Dr D.K. Verma. This session aimed to equip students with the necessary skills and attitudes required to succeed in their personal and professional lives. Dr Verma emphasized the importance of self-awareness, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. He also talked about the importance of positive thinking and the role of emotional intelligence in personal and professional success. Following this, Prof. Dr Amarjeet Yadav delivered a session on the uniqueness of Ayurveda and its national and international reach. The session also covered higher education in Ayurveda and job opportunities in the field. Dr Manish Singh joined him for the session, and together they shared insights on the scope and potential of Ayurveda as a career choice. The session was informative and insightful, and the students had an opportunity to clarify their doubts about the topic.

After lunch, a session on Language Vadatu Sanskritam was taken by Dr. Deepali Srivastava. This session aimed to introduce students to the basics of the Sanskrit language and its importance in Ayurveda. Dr. Srivastava covered the essential grammar rules, vocabulary, and pronunciation, and students had an opportunity to practice the language during the session. Later in the day, students took a visit to Know your Campus and Department Visit Samhita Department with Dr. Saumya Mehta & Dr. Shalini Tiwari. This session aimed to familiarize students with the campus and the various departments in the college. The students got an opportunity to interact with the faculty and staff and learn more about the facilities and resources available to them.

Overall, Day 2 of the Student transitional event at Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital BAMS was informative and insightful. The sessions covered a range of topics, from personality development to language learning and career opportunities in Ayurveda. The campus and department visit was also a great way for the students to get to know their surroundings and the resources available to them.

The third day of the transitional curriculum started with a motivational lecture by Shri Amit Kr. Singh, Retd. I.P.S. The session was aimed to motivate and inspire the students to pursue their dreams and goals. Shri Amit Kr. Singh shared his experiences and success stories that inspired the students. The lecture was highly appreciated by the students and was a great way to start the day.

The second session of the day was on “Know Regulatory bodies & Statutory bodies and major AYUSH institutions, Recent Advances in Ayurved and Ayurvedic Pharmaceuticals Research & Development” by Dr. Atul. The session was highly informative and provided valuable insights into the regulatory bodies and statutory bodies, major AYUSH institutions, and recent advances in Ayurved and Ayurvedic Pharmaceuticals Research & Development. Dr. Atul shared his knowledge and experience in the field, which was highly appreciated by the students.

After lunch, the session was taken by Dr. Deepali Srivastava on “Language Vadatu Sanskritam.” The session aimed to introduce students to the Sanskrit language and its importance in the field of Ayurveda. Dr. Deepali Srivastava introduced the basics of the language, including grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. The students were highly interested in the session and learned a lot about the language.

In the last session of the day, the students visited the campus of Goel Group of Institutions under the “Know your institute and department visit” program. The students were accompanied by Dr. Veenu Singh, Dr. Saumya Mehta, Dr. Shalini Tiwari, Dr. Tanmay Adhikari, Dr. Abhishek Singh. They visited the Pharmacy College and Campus, where they were briefed about the various facilities available to them. They also had a chance to interact with the faculty members and ask questions about the course curriculum, infrastructure, and facilities.

Overall, Day 3 of the Transitional Curriculum was highly informative and engaging for the students. The motivational lecture, followed by informative sessions on regulatory bodies and statutory bodies, recent advances in Ayurved, and Sanskrit language, were highly appreciated by the students. The visit to the campus of Goel Group of Institutions was also a great opportunity for the students to know more about the facilities and infrastructure available to them.

The fourth day of the Student transitional event at Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital started with Yoga and Meditation, which helped students to calm their minds and focus on the day’s activities.

Dr. Preeti Mishra, a renowned time management and exam strategy expert, conducted a session on Time Management, Exam Strategies, and Goal Setting. The session was highly informative, and students learned valuable tips on how to manage their time efficiently and how to prepare for exams effectively.

The next session was Games and sports grouping students and giving tasks by Dr. Pranav Rai, Dr. Preeti Mishra, Dr. Tanmay Adhikari, Dr. Abhishek Singh. The session was fun-filled, and students enjoyed participating in various games and sports. The activity helped students to build teamwork, improve their coordination, and develop leadership qualities.

In a unique unplanned session, the Chairman Er. Mahesh Agarwal met with the students alone for real-time feedback and motivation. The session was highly inspiring, and students got the opportunity to interact with the chairman directly. The chairman encouraged the students to work hard and strive for excellence.

In the post-lunch session, Dr. Deepali Srivastava conducted a session on Language Vadatu Sanskritam. The session was aimed at promoting the Sanskrit language and its importance in Ayurveda. Students learned about the history of the Sanskrit language and how it has contributed to the development of Ayurveda.

Finally, Dr. Manish Singh conducted a session on Biomedical Waste Management. The session was highly informative, and students learned about the proper management of biomedical waste and its impact on the environment.

Overall, the fourth day of the Student transitional event at Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital was highly engaging and informative. The students learned valuable skills that will help them succeed in their academic and professional careers.

On the 5th day of our visit to the Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, we had an eventful day filled with a guided tour of the campus, a post-lunch session on Sanskrit, an introduction to modern medicine, and an understanding of the roles of institutional officials.

The day started with a session on Yoga and Meditation, where we learned about the importance of these practices in Ayurvedic medicine. The session was informative and allowed us to understand how these practices can be used to improve physical and mental well-being.

We then had a lecture by Dr. Alok Mishra on the roles of institutional officials in the medical college and hospital. He explained the importance of having a strong leadership team in place to ensure that the institution operates efficiently and delivers high-quality care to patients.

Following the lecture, we were given a guided tour of the entire campus by Dr. Amarjeet Yadav, Dr. Preeti Mishra, Dr. Shalini Tiwari, Dr. Abhishek Singh, Dr. Sandeep Gupta, and Mr. Neeraj Gosavi. The tour was informative and allowed us to see the various departments, clinics, and facilities available at the institution.

After the tour, we had a post-lunch session on Language Vadatu Sanskritam by Dr. Deepali Srivastava. She explained the importance of Sanskrit as an ancient Indian language and its significance in Ayurvedic medicine. The session was interactive, and we learned some basic phrases and vocabulary in Sanskrit.

The day ended with a lecture by Dr. Pranav Rai on the introduction to modern medicine. He provided us with an understanding of the principles and practices of modern medicine, covering topics such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical ethics.

Overall, the 5th day at Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital was informative and engaging, providing us with a holistic understanding of Ayurvedic medicine and the healthcare system in India. We look forward to continuing our visit and learning more about this fascinating field.

On the 6th day of our program at Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, the day began with a session on Yoga and Meditation. The session was aimed at providing relaxation and mental clarity to the participants. The practice of yoga and meditation has been an integral part of Ayurveda since ancient times, and it was a great way to start the day.

History, Philosophy & Concepts of Ayurveda – Introduction by Dr. Preeti Mishra After the yoga and meditation session, Dr. Preeti Mishra introduced the participants to the History, Philosophy & Concepts of Ayurveda. She provided an overview of the origins of Ayurveda and its evolution over the centuries. She also discussed the core principles and concepts of Ayurveda, such as the three doshas, the five elements, and the importance of balance in health.

Role of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani in Public Health, Disease Prevention; & Clinical Exposure (Shalakya Tantra) by Dr. Sonika Pandey Next, Dr. Sonika Pandey spoke about the Role of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani in Public Health, Disease Prevention, and Clinical Exposure (Shalakya Tantra). She discussed how Ayurveda, Siddha, and Unani can play a crucial role in disease prevention and public health, and how these traditional medical systems are gaining recognition in the modern world. She also provided clinical exposure to the participants on Shalakya Tantra, which is the branch of Ayurveda that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to the eyes, ears, nose, and throat.

Post Lunch Session on National Health Status, Goals & Policies by Dr. Veenu Singh After lunch, Dr. Veenu Singh spoke about the National Health Status, Goals & Policies. She discussed the current health status of the country, the goals of the National Health Policy, and the policies that are in place to achieve these goals. She also highlighted the importance of Ayurveda and other traditional medical systems in achieving the goals of the National Health Policy.

Language Vadatu Sanskritam by Dr. Deepali Srivastava The last session of the day was on Language Vadatu Sanskritam by Dr. Deepali Srivastava. The session was aimed at introducing participants to the basics of the Sanskrit language, which is the language in which the Ayurvedic texts are written. The participants learned the basics of grammar and vocabulary, and were given an opportunity to practice their newly acquired skills.

Overall, the 6th day of the program was an enriching experience for the participants. They were introduced to the origins and core principles of Ayurveda, learned about the role of traditional medical systems in public health and disease prevention, and were given an opportunity to learn the basics of the Sanskrit language. These sessions provided a strong foundation for the participants to build on in their future study and practice of Ayurveda.

The 7th day of the Transitional Event in Goel Ayurvedic Medical college & Hospital began with a motivational lecture by Dr. Rishi Asthana, Director of Goel Institute of Technology & Management, Lucknow. The lecture was aimed at inspiring the students and encouraging them to pursue excellence in their chosen field.

This was followed by a session on Gender Sensitization Lecture by Prof. Suman Srivastava. The session focused on creating awareness about gender issues and the importance of gender sensitization in society. The students were given valuable insights on how to respect and treat people of all genders with equality and fairness.

Next, the students attended a motivational lecture by Eminent Speaker Dr. Kanak Gupta, Director of M.R. Jaipuria Group. Dr. Gupta shared his personal experiences and provided valuable insights on how to overcome challenges and succeed in life.

The next session was on Orientation to Learning Methods by Dr. Archana Saroj. The session introduced the students to various learning methods used in Ayurveda education. Dr. Archana Saroj explained the importance of experiential learning, group discussions, and case-based learning in Ayurveda education. She also discussed the use of technology in education and how it can enhance the learning experience.

After that, Dr. Laxmi Singh spoke on the Role of AYUSH in COVID-19 management & its Scientific outcomes. Dr. Singh discussed the role of Ayurveda, Yoga, and other traditional medical systems in managing the COVID-19 pandemic. She also explained the scientific outcomes of using AYUSH in COVID-19 management and its effectiveness in improving immunity.

After lunch, the students attended the session on Language Vedatu Sanskritam by Dr. Deepali Srivastava. The session was aimed at introducing the students to the Sanskrit language, which is the primary language of Ayurveda. Dr. Deepali Srivastava explained the significance of Sanskrit in Ayurveda and how it is used to name herbs, diseases, and treatment methods.

The last session of the day was on Introduction to Modern Medicine by Dr. Preet Verma, Goel Institute of Pharmacy & Sciences. The session introduced the students to modern medicine and its basic concepts. Dr. Verma explained the differences between modern medicine and traditional medical systems and how they can complement each other.

Overall, the 7th day of the Transitional Event in Goel Ayurvedic Medical college & Hospital was an enriching experience for the students. They attended motivational lectures, learned about gender sensitization, were introduced to various learning methods, gained knowledge about the role of AYUSH in COVID-19 management, and learned about Sanskrit and modern medicine.

The 8th day of the Transitional Curriculum of Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital started with a session on Yoga and Meditation by Dr. Jyoti Tripathi. The session aimed to help students understand the importance of yoga and meditation in maintaining a healthy mind and body. Dr. Tripathi demonstrated various yoga postures and breathing exercises that can help students manage stress and improve their concentration.

The next session was on Orientation to Learning Methods by Dr. Archana Saroj. The session aimed to help students understand the various learning methods and strategies that they can use to enhance their learning experience. Dr. Saroj emphasized the importance of active learning and provided tips on how students can engage with the content and retain the information effectively.

After that, a session was conducted by Motivational Speaker Mr. Fakhre Azam. The session aimed to inspire students to achieve their goals and overcome any obstacles they might face during their academic and professional journey. Mr. Azam shared his personal experiences and provided practical tips on how students can develop a positive attitude and stay motivated.

After the lunch break, a Language Vadatu Sanskrit session was conducted by Dr. Deepali Srivastava. The session aimed to introduce students to the basics of Sanskrit language and its importance in Ayurveda. Dr. Srivastava provided a brief overview of the Sanskrit language and its significance in understanding the Ayurvedic texts.

The next session was conducted by Motivational Speaker Dr. Rajat Mathur. The session aimed to help students develop their communication skills and improve their confidence while speaking in public. Dr. Mathur shared tips on effective communication and provided practical exercises to help students overcome their fear of public speaking.

Lastly, a Lecture on Basic life Support and First Aid; Clinical Exposure (Kayachikitsa) was conducted by Dr. Jayaseela N. KayaChikitsa Specialist of Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital. The session aimed to introduce students to the basics of first aid and provide clinical exposure to the Kayachikitsa department. Dr. Jayaseela N. KayaChikitsa Specialist demonstrated various basic life support techniques and provided practical tips on how students can respond to emergency situations.

In conclusion, the 8th day of the Transitional Curriculum of Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital was filled with informative and inspiring sessions that aimed to help students develop their skills and knowledge. The sessions were conducted by experienced professionals who provided practical tips and guidance to help students succeed in their academic and professional journey.

The 9th day of the Transitional Curriculum of Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital started with a session on Yoga and Meditation by Dr. Jyoti Tripathi. The session aimed to help students understand the importance of yoga and meditation in maintaining a healthy mind and body. Dr. Tripathi demonstrated various yoga postures and breathing exercises that can help students manage stress and improve their concentration.

The next session was a Lecture on Basic life Support and Hands-on Training by Dr. Jayaseela N. The session aimed to introduce students to the basics of first aid and provide them with hands-on training on basic life support techniques. Dr. Jayaseela N. demonstrated various techniques for CPR and other emergency procedures and provided practical tips on how students can respond to emergency situations.

After that, a Know your institute- Department visit (Rachna Sharir Dept) was conducted along with Dr. Veenu Singh and Dr. Archana Saroj. The visit aimed to familiarize students with the Rachna Sharir Department and its facilities. The students were given a tour of the department and provided with an overview of the department’s teaching and research activities.

After the lunch break, a Language Vadatu Sanskrit session was conducted by Dr. Deepali Srivastava. The session aimed to introduce students to the basics of Sanskrit language and its importance in Ayurveda. Dr. Srivastava provided a brief overview of the Sanskrit language and its significance in understanding the Ayurvedic texts.

Lastly, a Know your institute- Herbal Garden visit and Campus visit- GITM guided by Dr. Amarjeet Yadav, Dr. Abhishek Singh, and Dr. Tanmay Adhikari was conducted. The visit aimed to familiarize students with the Herbal Garden and the GITM campus. The students were given a tour of the Herbal Garden and provided with an overview of the various medicinal plants grown there. The students were also given a guided tour of the GITM campus, which included visits to the library, laboratories, and other facilities.

In conclusion, the 9th day of the Transitional Curriculum of Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital was filled with informative and interactive sessions that aimed to help students develop a deeper understanding of Ayurvedic practices and the facilities available at the institute. The 10th day of the Transitional Curriculum of B.A.M.S Batch started with Basic Concepts & Clinical Exposure (Panchkarma) by Dr. Gaurav Sinha. The session covered the fundamental principles of Ayurveda and their applications in Panchkarma, which is a vital therapeutic approach in Ayurveda. The students were introduced to the basic principles and methods of Panchkarma therapy and their clinical applications.

The second session of the day was on Virkshayurveda and Mrigayurveda by Dr. Abhishek Singh. He gave a detailed explanation of the two branches of Ayurveda, Virkshayurveda, and Mrigayurveda, which deal with the study of plants and animals, respectively. The students were also given insights into the practical applications of these branches of Ayurveda in modern medicine.

After lunch, Mr. Sandeep Srivastava took a session on Computer Skills. He introduced the students to the essential computer skills required in today’s digital world. The session covered basic computer operations, software applications, and internet usage.

Following this, Shri Bhanu Pratap Singh, the librarian of the Central Library, gave a detailed explanation of the library’s rules and regulations. He also provided the students with a brief overview of the library’s resources, services, and facilities.

The next session was on Know your institute and department visit (Kriya Sharir LAB) with Dr. Suman Srivastava. The students visited the Kriya Sharir LAB, where they were introduced to the practical aspects of the branch of Ayurveda that deals with the study of human physiology.

The final session of the day was on Know your institute- Department visit (Physiotherapy) by Dr. Omji Tiwari & Kumari Ankita. The students visited the Physiotherapy department, where they were introduced to the therapeutic applications of physical activity, exercise, and movement in the prevention and treatment of various health conditions.

In conclusion, the 10th day of the Transitional Curriculum of Goel Ayurvedic Medical College &Hospital B.A.M.S. Batch was a successful one, with the students getting insights into the different branches of Ayurveda, computer skills, and practical exposure to the institute’s facilities and departments.

The 11th day of the Transitional Curriculum of Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital started with a session on Yoga and Meditation by Dr. Jyoti Tripathi. The session aimed to help students understand the importance of yoga and meditation in maintaining a healthy mind and body. Dr. Tripathi demonstrated various yoga postures and breathing exercises that can help students manage stress and improve their concentration.

The 12th day of the Transitional Curriculum started with a detailed session on Biomedical Waste Management by Dr. Manish Singh, Assistant Professor in Dep. Of Shalya Tanntra & DMS Goel Ayurvcdic Medical College & Hospital. The session covered the management of biomedical waste generated in healthcare facilities, which is essential to ensure the safety of healthcare workers and the general public. Dr. Singh explained the guidelines and regulations for biomedical waste management and the various techniques used for its disposal.

After the session on Biomedical Waste Management, the students had a recreation period for the celebration of International Women’s Day at the Goel Campus. The students participated in various cultural and sports activities, including music, dance, and games. The event was organized to celebrate the achievements of women and promote gender equality.

In conclusion, the 12th day of the Transitional Curriculum was a successful one, with the students getting valuable insights into the management of biomedical waste and participating in a recreation period to celebrate International Women’s Day. The combination of academic and extracurricular activities made the day engaging and meaningful for the students.

On 10th March 2023, the Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital organized the 13th day of the Transitional Curriculum for the B.A.M.S. batch. The day was packed with informative sessions and clinical exposure for the students. The day began with a session on the Role of Ayurved in Child Health by Dr. Kalpana Patni, who is an expert in this field and works at the prestigious IMS, BHU.

The second session of the day was on Computer Skills by Mr. Sandeep Srivastava, who is the IT Head of the Goel Group of Institutions. In this session, the students were introduced to basic computer skills and were given hands-on experience on various software applications.

The next session was a Hospital Pharmacy Visit, which was led by Dr. Sandeep Gupta and Dr. Ajay Rawat. During the visit, the students got an opportunity to learn about the functioning of the pharmacy department of the hospital and how it contributes to patient care.

After lunch, the students had the privilege of attending a session by the Eminent Speaker Dr. Ved Prakash Tripathi, who is the D.I.G. of JEL. Dr. Tripathi’s session was very informative and gave the students insights into the workings of the criminal justice system in India.

The day ended with a regular session on Language Vadatu Sanskritam by Dr. Deepali Srivastava. This session aimed to help the students learn the basics of Sanskrit and appreciate the rich culture and history associated with the language.

Overall, the 13th day of the Transitional Curriculum was a success, and the students gained valuable knowledge and experience from the sessions and clinical exposure. The college and hospital faculty did a commendable job in organizing the event and ensuring that the students received the best possible learning experience.

The 14th day of the B.A.M.S. Batch Transitional Curriculum was held on 11th March 2023 at Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital. The day started with a session on Personal Health & Hygiene, Health Awareness, Fitness by Dr. Tanmay Adhikari. The session aimed to create awareness among students about personal hygiene, healthy lifestyle practices, and their importance in maintaining good health.

The next session was on the Basics of Prakriti by Prof. Avinash Chandra Srivastava & Dr. Suman Srivastava. The session focused on the concept of Prakriti in Ayurveda, which is the basic constitutional nature of an individual, and its importance in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

After this, students got a chance to watch videos related to AYUSH presented by Dr. Veenu Singh. The session was aimed at introducing students to the various initiatives taken by the AYUSH Ministry for promoting the traditional Indian systems of medicine.

After the lunch break, a guest lecture was held on Kitchen herbs and their multipurpose applications by Prof. (Dr.) Akhilesh Kumar Singh. The session focused on the various herbs and spices commonly found in the kitchen and their uses in the prevention and treatment of various diseases.

The day ended on a positive note, with the students gaining valuable insights into various aspects of Ayurveda and its practical applications in daily life. The transitional curriculum has been designed to provide students with a strong foundation in Ayurveda and prepare them for their future careers as Ayurvedic practitioners.

On the 15th day of the BAMS Batch Transitional Event at Goel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, the students embarked on a field visit to various institutions related to the Ayurvedic field. The visit was led by eminent practitioners and professors including Prof. Dr. Amarjeet Yadav, Prof. Dr. Sujay P. Randive, Dr. Pranav Rai, Dr. Shalini Tiwari, Dr. Abhishek Singh, and Dr. Tanmay Adhikari.

During the visit, the students got an opportunity to visit AYUSH hospitals, dispensaries, pharmaceuticals, and other institutions. The field visit was aimed at providing the students with hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of the Ayurvedic field.

After the field visit, Prof. Dr. Amarjeet Yadav took a session on Biodiversity in ASU. The session was focused on the importance of biodiversity in Ayurveda and how it affects the medicinal properties of various herbs and plants. Dr. Yadav emphasized the need to preserve biodiversity to ensure the sustainability of the Ayurvedic field.

Post-lunch, the students attended a session by Dr. Ved Prakash Tripathi, D.I.G.JEL, who spoke about the workings of the criminal justice system in India. Dr. Tripathi explained the various aspects of the criminal justice system, including investigation, prosecution, and trial. He also spoke about the challenges and reforms needed to improve the criminal justice system in India.

The session was informative and thought-provoking, and the students actively participated in the discussion, asking questions and seeking clarifications.

Overall, the 15th day of the BAMS Batch Transitional Event was a success, with the students gaining valuable insights and exposure to different aspects of the Ayurvedic field and the criminal justice system. The event was well-organized, and the speakers and professors provided an engaging and informative experience for the students.
