Examples include poisonous plants, heavy metals and their compounds, venom from snakes, scorpions, spiders, bees, bacterial and non-bacterial food poisoning, and synthetic poisons like insecticides, herbicides, and rodenticides.
Additionally, Agad Tantra extends its purview to cover occupational and industrial toxicity, exploring the clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and management of such exposures. The realm of study also incorporates acute and chronic toxicity associated with various addictive drugs, along with considerations for withdrawal symptoms and their management.
